2/27 first post
Its 1:37am right now. Ive been on this train for what feels like forever even though its been eleven and a half hours. I figured this is a good time to write my first entry, since i cant sleep and have nothing else to do.
Last night was the party. It wasnt as big as i expected it to be but there were alot of people. Id estimate about 75 passed through. It ended early though, most people started leaving around 10, which was good, because it gave me a chance to check my stuff and clean my room. Bosh nissim and chanie stayed late and helped me clean, they headed home aroun 2 or 3am.
The next day started off pretty well, had a friend stay over after the party, so i had a good night and a good morning, though i didnt get much sleep. Morning was a crazy hurry though. Got the last few things together, showered (cause who knows when my next opportunity to do that will be), ate a quick small breakfast, took the battery out of my motorcycle, said goodbye to my friend, who i will miss alot, though im going to miss many of my friends, and then after finishing my run on sentence of things i did in the morning, my father drove me to the train station.
I thanked my father for his help with the party last night, gave him a handshake and then a hug goodbye. I havent hugged my father in years, i think the last time was at the airport on my way to israel in 2006, so i was expecting a hug to be awkward. It wasnt.
When i got to manhatten i went to shmulis office and we went for lunch. He was in a hurry to get back to work for a meeting so we chilled for a few minutes, he walked me back most of the way to penn station then went back to work when i got a phone call from DJ, my hiking partner. we spoke briefly about our plans for when we arrive in atlanta, and then i headed to penn to catch my train.
Here i am now, on the train. On an 18 hour train ride that had one break 4 hours in. Then nothing until we arrive in atlanta 14 hours later. Still better than taking a bus. Shouldve picked up a bottle o vodka in penn station to help me stay asleep.

no more drunk sluts in my house. people who break other peoples things deserve to be thrown outside.
so heres what happened. i got home after chiling with my friends at two diff purim parties. one was all guys, plenty of beer happy people singing dancing. the other was a bbq, with people eatings singing dancing, and just happiness all around. i got home to some drunk teenagers in my base, some of them somewhat drunk, and some of them really drunk beyond all reason. i tried toget them out, and they went to a neighbors house where there were more kids. a while later they came back, claiming to look for their really drunk friend, who had wandered away and was not answering her phone. after finding that there friend was not here, they sat down on the couches and tried calling her even though there were otehr places to look. one of the drunker girls, went into the bathroom to puke.
while she was in there, we heard the sound of running water, which prompted another drunk tennager to ask "is she taking a shower in there?" a few minutes later she came out of the bathroom, stumbling drunk, but clearly not having taken a shower. soon after, one of my frieds got up to use the bathroom, and they called from my room "donny theres a flood in your room!" i went to my room to find water seeping through the wall between the bathroom and my room. looking in the bathroom i saw that water was spilling out of the toilets tank through a large hole that was cracked in the tank. i turned off the water knob behind the toilet, and removed the top of the tank to see that chunk of ceramic had indeed been knocked off the corner of the tank. somebody had cracked teh tank, and the last one in there was an unreasonably drunk girl dressed in a slut costume. i got very angry and yelled at all the kids to get out of teh house, and anybody who didnt belong there should leave.i ran upstairs to grab the vacuum to sop up the water form my room. i saw that there was some shit left on the kitchen floor, by a puppy that we had found outside our house today, cold and scared. we took it in, bathed it, fed it , and allowed it to stay the night, and we will take it to the police station tomorrow to find the owner.
i had tried to walk the dog only about 20 minutes earlier, and teh dog refused to walk, instead pulling to go back to my house, no matter which direction i tried to take it. i got angry and scolded the dog angrily and threw it in the backyard. then took the vacuum downstairs to finish getting the water. my friends had began cleaning my room as the kids took tehir stuff and left. me and my friends finally got most of the water cleaned up, using a mop in the bathroom, and i vacuum for my room. there had been about an inch of water in the bathroom. i have to be awake at 8am for a dentist appointment, and at this point of the night, it was already 5am. my friends left shortly afterward, and i went to my room to get ready to go to sleep. upon walking into my room, i found that somemore water that had been trapped inside the wall had seeped into my room, making carpet that was dry before, wet once again, i vacuumed again, and mopped the bathroom some more. i ran my hand under the back of the tank to check if anywater was leaking out, and i felt something sharp cut deep into my fingertips. the porcelain had cracked at a sharp angle and it cut my fingers and i was now bleeding profusely. i clenched my hand to sotp teh blood flow and kept them that way for about 10 minutes. i then cleaned the still bleeding cuts and bandaged them. it is now 6:30am and i have to be awake at 8am. i am pissed , i am tired, i am stressed, considering i will be leaving in 3 days to begin a 6 month long hike. and i have much preparation still to do.
i dont know who invited those kids, i dont know who they are, and i want to find the girl who broke the toilet and flooded my room, and ruined my night, and the day after it. and make her pay for the damage she caused.introduction.
this blog is going to be my trail journal as i hike the appalachian trail. i am beginning the hike on march 3, 2013, and will post my locations, as well as my story, as the adventure continues.
