april 21- post party fatigue

I woke up on the morning of april 21 much less hungover than i expected to be. Drinking a liter of gatorade before bed was a good idea after all. I laid in my tent and wrote my log of the day before for about an hour. Texted miss janet to ask for a ride back to erwin. And chilled in my tent until pilgrim showed up and asked me if wanted a ride with him and miss janet. I quickly packed up. Then hung around and said good bye to the other hikers and the band. We had a few stops before heading back to erwin. Other hikers had different places to go. Then finally, after almost an hour of driving around, we began to head towards erwin. It was only a few minutes in when miss janets oil light came on. So we turned around and headed back to hot springs to get some more oil. Shes been doing about 1000 miles a week in her van shuttling hikers around. We stopped at the dollar general for the oil. I got some snacks and food for the house. Then we got back in the van and headed to erwin. I slept for some of the ride back. I woke up in the food lion parking lot. Miss janet wanted to run inside to get things for dinner . We finally got back to the house and i just sat on the couch watching tv until dinner. There was another hiker who was over for dinner. He had thru hiked last year. But was in town for the trial of a guy who had held up a group of hikers at gunpoint one night last year. And attempted to rob them. He didnt succeed in robbing them, because he had put his gun back in his belt, and two ex coastguard hikers attacked him and tied him up until police arrived. Watched some more tv then went to sleep. I was exhausted from the weekend.
